About Me

My education has given me a broad grounding in instrumental music teaching with a specialisation in strings, and I have worked as a specialist music teacher in NY, leading school choirs and working in the classroom. Performance was part of the degree as well. I have played professionally as a member of the Erie Philharmonic under Walter Hendl (in Pennsylvania), the Glens Falls Symphony (New York) and the Schenectady Symphony (New York), as well as playing Irish traditional fiddle, guitar, and singing/leading in bands.

I teach with the Churchtown School of Music in Our Lady’s National Girls School as co-teacher of the violin program and director of the orchestra, teach the violin program at Music Generation at Ballinteer Educate Together, and teach primary age violin and pre-instrumental music to senior infants at the gaelscoil Naomh Pádraig in Lucan.

I currently perform with the Dublin Co-orch, who in 2019 performed the Verdu Requiem at the Olympia with the Dún Laoghaire Choral Society, raising over €40,000 for the Marie Keating Foundation and in 2017 performed Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at the CHQ in aid of the Children’s Rights Alliance, raising over €29,000 from the concert.
